Last Friday and Saturday we participated in the 'Hottolfiades', a balloon festival held in the village of Hotton in Belgium. For the 10th anniversary of the festival our cool turtle was invited for the meeting. On both days we could make a great flight. The pictures are now online in our gallery.

After our appearance in Sint-Truiden (Belgium) and Eeklo (Belgium) we keep on visiting Belgian balloonfestivals. On August 20th and August 21st we will be participating in 'Hottolfiades', a festival held in Hotton (Belgium). It's the first time we will participate in the festival. This year they are having their 10th anniversary.

Yesterday we participated in the annual balloonhappening in Sint-Truiden (Belgium). Once the standard balloons took off we amused the crowds with a static display. Pictures can be found here.

After our balloonflights in the Meetjesland (Belgium) last weekend, Stéphanie Buysse from Waarschoot (Belgium) sent a picture from our landing to the Belgian newspaper 'Het Nieuwsblad'. On Saturday as on Sunday we could fly our special shape 'Mister Bup' during the balloonmeeting in Eeklo (Belgium). It was the first time our cool turtle participated in the festival. This due to the 25th anniversary. The Mister Bup Balloon Team would like to thank Geert Leloup and his familie from the company Leloup & Co who made this participation possible.

Yesterdayevening we had a great flight out of Eeklo. All hot air balloons including Mister Bup could take off. Under great media attention we made e great flight over the Meetjesland. Some parts of our flight were shown on the news of the national commercial tv station VTM. The forecast for tonight looks good and we will be flying again tonight.

This weekend we will be participating in the 25th Meetjeslandse Balloonmeeting in Eeklo (Belgium). Together with 80 other hot air balloons we will be flying over the Meetjesland. It will be Mister Bup's first appearance at this festival.

The weather had never been this bad in more then ten years so Mister Bup could only show his face oce. Nonetheless was the Montgolfiades de Beaujolais a very successful festival. Thanks to the friendly French winefarmers where all balloonteams stayed, we tasted the French life in style. Pictures of Mister Bup are now online.

Bad weather for ballooning in Australia. Until now there has only been one flight during the 'Canberra Festival Balloon Spectacular'. There is a lot of media attention for Mister Bup though. Everything has been arranged to start flying our special shape balloon from Staurdaymorning on in Canberra (Australia). The weather forecast doesn't look very good so we'll have to wait and see if we will be able to fly.

Mister Bup has been prepared for shipping out of The Philipinnes. During the 15th International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark, we managed to do 4 balloonflights and take part in nightglows on Saturday- and Sundayevening. Once again our participation was spotted by divers media. There was a publication in 'The LA Times' and we also managed to be on the frontpage of 'The Philipinne Star'. Thanks to Justin and family for crewing during the event!

Today Mister Bup got his annual inspection by Mr. Eric Martens from the Belgian Civil Autorities. Everything was in perfect condition and the Certificate of Airworthiness was extended. Pictures of the inspection can be found in the photogallery.

Three years after the birth of Mister Bup we'll be visiting our 15th country this month. As the only international special shape balloon we got an invitation to participate in the 'Daejeon International Balloon Fiesta' in South Korea. From October 23rd until October 25th we'll colour the skies of the 5th biggest city of South Korea along with 10 other balloons.

Last Thursday and Friday we participated in the annual balloon fiesta in Albuquerque (USA). Along with about 80 other special shapes we flow over the city of Albuquerque. We also participated in the special shape glowdeo's. Mister Bup is now heading for a new location. The exact location will remain secret for a little while. More info soon!

A brand new Mister Bup pin is being launched for our participation in the '2009 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta'. The design is based on the design of the New Mexico state flag. The pin is numbered and on the back we have placed the website address. There are only 500 pieces available of this pin.

We arrived back in Belgium after a great weekend of flying in the Gatineau - Ottawa area during the annual balloon festival. With about 250.000 visitors the Gatineau Balloon festival broke several records this year! Our next event will be the world's biggest balloon event; the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

This morning we did our first flight during the Gatineau Balloon Festival. On board we had two radiopeople, one being from NRJ 104.1. During the flight they intereacted live with the studio and broadcasted live. The NRJ 104.1 traffic plane also came by to say hi to us. A great start for a weekend that's looking to be fantastic and blessed with nice weather!

Our cool turtle is on his way to Canada. Pilot and crew are heading for Gatineau somtime next week. From Friday September 4th on we will be flying daily along with several other spectacular shapes and about 75 standard balloons.

We had a bad start in Bristol for the annual Fiesta but when the clouds disappeared all was good. We managed to do a few great flights over the city of Bristol. On Saturday there were more than 150.000 visitors enjoying the Fiesta. We could also take some great pictures with other special shapes as the Disney 'Up' balloon and the 'Churchill Dog'.

Because of the thunderstorms in the area of Roermond, all participating special shapes were cancelled. Because of that we were unable to fly during 'Hot Air Ballooning Roermond' in The Netherlands. Our next festival will be the annual balloon meeting in Sint-Truiden (Belgium).

The Countus Ballonspektakel in Zwolle (The Netherlands) was a big success. We could display Mister Bup three out of four days to the public. On Wednesday and Thursday with an actual lift off, on Friday we participated in the nightglow and lasershow.

In one week the Balloonfiesta in Zwolle (The Netherlands) will kick off. At this moment we are getting everything ready for this trip. It's been since September 2008 that Mister Bup was seen in The Netherlands. It will be the very first participation of Mister Bup in the Fiesta in Zwolle.

This year Mister Bup Will participate in the 'Countus Ballonspektakel'. in Zwolle (The Netherlands). Mister Bup would've normally had his maiden flight at the 2006 edition of this festival, but due to circumstances our turtle couldn't be delivered on time. In 2007 and 2008 Mister Bup wasn't able to participate either, but this year it's gonna happen! Edition 2009 will be held from June 17th until June 20th.

Home sweet home! Our cool turtle arrived back home after his long trip to New Zealand. He will remain in his shell for only a short time because at the end of the month we will be back on the road. More details soon.

Mister Bup is now officialy on his way to New Zealand. This morning, the shipping company picked him up at his hometown Vrasene (Belgium). Predications are that Mister Bup will arrive in New Zealand somewhere next week. From March 25th on we'll participate in 'Balloons Over Waikato', an annual balloon event that is being held in Hamilton, New Zealand. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival.

Mister Bup is being followed internationaly. Because of our participation in the 'International Balloon Week' in Château-d'Oex (Switzerland), the newspaper Gulfnews which is being sold in Dubai, publisched a picture of our cool turtle flying in the Alps.

Château-d'Oex is and remains the capital for balloonflights over the Alps. This became clear once again last week during the 'International Balloon Week'. We managed to do some great flights with our cool turtle during the annual balloon festival. We also participated in the magnificent nightglow which resulted in some fairytale pictures. At the end of the festival we also had a 'Miss' in our team because crewmember Charlotte was announced 'Miss Festival de Ballons 2009'!
